Bluebell Days in Stratton Strawless
Our beautiful Bluebell Woods at Brook House, Hainford Road, Stratton Strawless are once again open to the Public on the following dates:-
Saturday 10th/Sunday 11th May 2 pm - 5 pm
Admission £2.50 Children Free Home-made teas and produce available, stalls for Plants, Bric-a-Brac and a local Art Exhibition. All proceeds towards the upkeep of St. Margarets Church. Come for a stroll through the woods or even combine it with a visit to St. Margarets Church for the Robert Marsham Exhibition, just a short walk down the road.
Saturday 7th June 2008 Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists' Society
An All-Day Meeting of the Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists Society at St. Margarets Church, Stratton Strawless, NR10 5LN. A series of talks and discussions on subjects associated with phenology, with Dr. Tim Sparks, CEH. Open to Non-members. Price for the whole day £8, including lunch, coffee, tea etc. For further information and tickets, ring 01603 279235.
Sunday 22nd June 2008 Country Garden Lunch
At 1.00 p.m. at "Powells", Stratton Strawless, NR10 5LN, a commemorative Country Garden Lunch in a lovely house and garden, as seen on TV and featured in Country Life Magazine.

After lunch there will be an optional walk to the Great Cedar Tree, planted by Robert Marsham in 1747.
There is also a candlelit Evensong at 6.00 pm in St. Margarets Church.
Sunday 27th July 2008 "Mad About Trees" A talk by Dr. Tim Sparks
At 2.00 pm in St. Margarets Church, Stratton Strawless, NR10 5LN, a talk by Dr. Tim Sparks, CEH on the life of Robert Marsham - "Mad About Trees".
Plus an optional walk to view the Giant Cedar planted by Robert Marsham in 1747, which now looms 102 feet high. Entry £5, including tea and cakes. Tickets and more information from Toz Waddingham on 01603 279235.
August Bank Holiday Weekend
A Tree Festival in St Margarets Church, Stratton Strawless, is planned for this weekend.
